- the City's efforts to redesign Forest Avenue - including Exit 6 interchange - as a walkable, bikeable neighborhood Main Street;
- the design of Portland's first Neighborhood Byway in Deering Center;
- new bike lanes and streetscape improvements we can expect to come soon with the summer construction season.
Hi -- is there a central schedule where you get these and other transit planning meetings? I often want to go but I need to plan ahead. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteOur Bike/Ped Advisory Committee meetings happen nearly every month, on the second Monday. But a transit planning/public meeting calendar is a good idea. I'll see about setting one up.
ReplyDeletei'll put the 2nd monday meetings on my calendar.
ReplyDeletea general calendar would be a really, really useful thing i think, i for one would definitely commit to more meetings if you were to publish something like that monthly. i'm not sure what your readership, but i bet i'm not the only one.
keep up the excellent work here. exit 6 in particular is going to set the tone for what the city's going to look like in 5 or 10 or 20 years. lots of things happening.
